Lisa Brown concluded her remarks on a proposed anti-abortion law saying, “And finally, Mr. Speaker, I’m flattered that you’re all so interested my vagina, but ‘no’ means ‘no.’” The Detroit News reported: that the House Republican leadership did not allow her to speak on a different issue later because… wait for it… “‘What she said was offensive,” said Rep. Mike Callton, R-Nashville. ‘It was so offensive, I don’t even want to say it in front of women. I would not say that in mixed company.’ Yes, they forbid her to speak because she used the word vagina.
